How do I get to Araya from Santo Domingo?
We offer both shared and private transportation options. Shared shuttles operate at various times, and private transfers can be arranged at your convenience. Contact us to coordinate the best option for you.
What excursions and activities can I book?
Guests can enjoy guided jungle treks, cave explorations, horseback riding, beach trips, and more. If you let us know in advance what you’d like to do, our hotel manager will handle all the arrangements. Even if you decide while you’re here, just give us 24 hours’ notice to set up your adventure.
What payment methods are accepted at Araya?
You can pay in USD, Dominican Pesos, or bank transfer. Pesos are recommended for local purchases outside the resort. ATMs and Western Union are available in town if needed.
What should I pack for my stay?
Light clothing, sandals, sturdy shoes for hikes, a bathing suit, and a cover-up are recommended. We provide filtered bottled water, so no need for a purifier bottle. If you’re prone to mosquito bites, bring repellent.
What is the cancellation policy?
Unless otherwise agreed, cancellations are fully refundable up to 30 days before arrival. Between 30 and 14 days prior, a 50% refund is available. No refunds are issued for cancellations within 14 days of arrival. Non-refundable bookings cannot be reimbursed under any circumstances. We recommend purchasing travel insurance. No-shows will be charged in full, minus cleaning fees.
